  1. Hi John
Just viewed your podcast on fast and slow movers.
I’ve been a T1diabetic for 50years and have never been in better control than now.
I would like to say that I believe you are giving the wrong advice with regard to dextrose tablets and sugar measured and dissolved in water.
I do agree that dextrose acts slightly quicker but when reviewing all of the information available I would expect you to remark on the facts of expenditure in £ and $ because T1D have so many things they have to personally buy and do not get help with from anyone, managing the cost of controlling glucose has to be considered a daily activity. As I said before I am very well controlled, 98% in target most days, and the two tools I have in the box for long term control is a bottle of 14 sugars pre diluted in water and my insulin pump. I hope you take my comments seriously

    1. Hi Steven,
You raise a great point. Sugar is by far cheper then glucose tablets and products and works well. So, I would not argue against that at all. Once you find the right amount and it works, then great, it may just take an extra 5 mins to raise the glucose level and thats no issues. Thanks for making this point.
